A LITTLE ABOUT US
SciMysFic is a US based self publishing company offering a one stop solution for authors to complete and market their books successfully.
Our team of editors, proofreaders, cover designers and marketers are well experienced in genre-friendly book production. Starting from providing a completely consultation to post-release marketing, we do it with perfection and excellence.
We make it simple for our authors to get their book published professionally and marketed on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other places. We know that the self publishing process can be overwhelming. So much is involved-copyright registration, Library of Congress number, ISBN, proofreading several times…That’s why we have bundled the most requested services into packages. We likewise are conscious of the matter that authors are on a budget, thus we suggest a package that can go with most authors’ demands without crushing the bank. Once the book is published, our authors get discounted price for printing so they can advance to earn royalties from their books.
HOW TO WRITE A BOOK AND SELL IT?
You write the best book you know how to write (and don’t worry whether you are a genius or not, if you work hard enough and have even a little talent, it’ll be okay) and you have it edited or edit it yourself until there are absolutely no mistakes.
Then you decide how to sell it.
Self-publishing is one way. A good book marketing coach will help you market your book yourself or hiring a book marketing firm to do everything is another way, though more expensive. Either way will involve you working your a— off to market and sell your book.
Signing a contract with either an e-publisher or a print publisher is still another way. Either kind of publisher may involve hiring an agent to find the right publisher for your book and either will involve your working your a— off to market and sell your book.
HOW ARE AUTHORS PROMOTING THEIR BOOKS?
"Most people aren't making a lot of money on books anymore. I think maybe not in the publishing world. We know this now. We know this to be true. The days of the big advances, unless you're JK Rowling, they're basically gone, because you have traditional publishers who are suddenly competing with the Amazon and the self-published, and even if you've got this, it's a challenge"
“When I go out to sell a book ... So here's how it works. I write a book. I bring it to my agent. She says, ‘Yeah, it's great.’ Maybe after a revision or two, but ultimately, ‘Yeah, it's great. Let's go bring it up to publishers.’ Part of that is she goes out with my platform. It's your business plan for the book. That includes Jenna's reach: It's how many people I can reach on social media, how many people I can get my physical body in front of, because people are very, very likely to buy your book if you're sitting there talking to them and they feel that connection with you. “
She goes on to say:
“I got smart after a few public speaking gigs, and I said, ‘Hey, you should buy copies of my book and give them to all the attendees.’ They've never said no. I go, ‘Oh, some missed opportunities there along the line.’"
HOW TO PUBLISH A BOOK ON AMAZON?
CAN ANYBODY WRITE A BOOK?
Yes, anyone can write a book. Particularly now because anyone can publish a book by just uploading it to Amazon’s Kindle platform or Smashwords.
But just because everyone has the ability to write a book doesn’t mean everyone will write a book. Many people have the idea of, “I should write a book some day,” not realizing that it actually is a lot of work and a lot of dedication to sit down and bang out a story that’s enough to last the length of a complete novel.
If you’re willing to put in the time and dedicate yourself to finishing the story, then you can write a book. If you aren’t, then you won’t get more than maybe fifty pages in.
CAN I PUBLISH A BOOK ANONYMOUSLY?
I would certainly recommend that anyone considering writing anonymously considers the full implications before deciding to do so. Even if you don’t put your own name on the book, the usual rules of libel still apply.
CAN NEW WRITERS GET NOTICED WITH AN EBOOK?
Yes, there are some authors which have started off by releasing an ebook which has led to their becoming big name authors selling vast amounts of books, but in each case they all worked incredibly hard on marketing their books.
If you really want a shot at reaching the big time, just be aware that you will need to spend as much, if not more, time marketing the book than you did writing it and you'll also need a fair amount of luck along the way.
